About NAMTSE

Over the years, the Central Station industry has evolved into an entity which may become far different than the central station of just a few years ago. Those who do not understand the past and are not prepared for the next trends will be so disadvantaged as to render their operations obsolete in a very short period of time.

To respond to this demand for information, the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) has determined that its Mid-Year Meeting will undergo a transformation.

The substance of this transformation is embodied in the new name of the CSAA Mid-Year Meeting which has now been rechristened The 2001 North American Monitoring Technology Symposium and Exhibition (NAMTSE)

At the heart of transformation are two basic principles:

1. The need for a four-track program and symposia dedicated to the technological, legal, operational and managerial issues of tomorrow’s central stations by expanding the courses offered to appeal to the company CEOs, senior management, Third-Party Central Stations, Proprietary Central Stations, UL-Listed and/or FMRC-Approved Dealers and others related to the Central Station industry.

2. To present a forum for companies who supply products, technologies or services to present concepts and ideas unique to the Central Station monitoring industry in the format of an exhibition, limited to "Table Top" displays.

Information for Potential Speakers

If you have an interest in being a presenter, moderator, or facilitator for any of these courses, click here to fill out the form on-line.  Presentation proposals must include the following to be considered:

1. Presentation proposal (actual presentation should be no longer than 30 minutes in length, unless part of a panel or otherwise approved).

2. A brief description of the presentation in 50-100 words or less that will be used in the official NAMTSE Program and the CSAA Dispatch newsletter.

3. A biography and photo of the presenter. Photo will be required by February 1, 2001.

4. Date and place where the program was last presented (if applicable).

5. Any date and place where you intend to present program prior to the 2001 NAMTSE.

Presentations must be submitted to Suzanne Gerhart, CSAA’s Director of Meetings and Conventions, using the presentation proposal form/format either by email (meetings@csaaul.org) or fax (703-242-4675)

NOTE: Presenters will be responsible for their own expenses and must be registered for the meeting.

The following standard audiovisual equipment will be provided for all presenters in the meeting room: overhead projector, LCD projector, laptop, podium microphone, Lavaliere microphone, and screen. Any additional audiovisual equipment will be the responsibility of the presenter.

The deadline date for submission is JANUARY 30, 2000. The CSAA Education Committee will evaluate all submissions and confirm all presentations.

Exhibitor Information

This year’s NAMTSE will feature an exhibit showcasing the finest products and equipment in the monitoring industry. This very targeted exhibit is limited to central station monitoring equipment and services.

The tabletop display will feature pertinent equipment, materials and literature for the central station monitoring industry. Ample time will be allowed for all attendees to visit the exhibits and speak with company representatives one-on-one.

Why Should You Exhibit?

Those who choose to be part of the NAMTSE program and/or exhibition will find that there are many opportunities to share their products, concepts and services with this vital audience.

1. Those opportunities include personal interaction with potential and existing customers,

2. Being automatically placed on the CSAA "Virtual NAMTSE Expo," which will be in effect after the meeting for the rest of the year—a $295.00 value.

3. The first eighteen exhibitors to sign up and pay will get their choice of booth space and the opportunity to sponsor one of the 18 golf holes during the Friday CSAA Golf Tournament at no charge to the exhibitor.

4. Space allocation will be on a "first-come/first-served" basis this year only. Those who sign up now will be on the "Preferred List" for future years and get first pick of the premium spaces and other opportunities.
