"Heads-Up"
on central station systems integration, communications and market
development
Moderator: John Judd,
Director, Systems Sales, Bosch
Security Systems
Although
central station company owners and managers are continually confronted
with new technology issues, they do not necessarily want to become
Information or Communication Technology experts. Most of the challenge
is to balance the dizzying array of new technology developments
against reasonable current revenue generating opportunities. The
rest of the challenge is to assure that the company stays technologically
well positioned as the security, systems integration and communications
markets evolve.
The
presentations provided a valuable executive "Heads-Up"
on many of the central station, systems integration, communications
and market development issues that are changing our industry and
creating new opportunities.
Maximizing
Central Station Profits Through Efficient Systems
Jerry Winslow, President, Bold Technologies Group
What are the key elements that central station owners and managers
should be looking for in order to assure that their systems and
procedures reduce errors and inaccuracies? Which features are
required to best integrate "Back-Office" systems and
monitoring automation systems to provide the lowest cost and best
service for both end users and wholesale dealers? In this presentation,
Jerry Winslow provides valuable guidance about these and other
important central station integration issues.
General
Electric in the Security Market--COMING
SOON
Charles A. Durant,
President, GE Interlogix and Steven Keefer,
President, GE Monitoring Automation
Systems
So why did GE buy
MAS? How does the security market look to GE and its Interlogix
division. Where, if any, are the boundaries between traditional
and non-traditional security applications? What trends does GE
Interlogix see in open systems, interoperability and outsourcing?
This
session will yield important insights regarding the direction
and efforts of the industries largest entrant and subsequent effects
in this industry.
Central
Station Expense Reduction Through ASP Hosting Vendors (Part
I, Part II, and Part
III)
Clifford Dice,
President, Dice Corporation
It takes money to
make money, but is it possible that it takes less money
to make more money? That is precisely the attraction of
a service strategy based upon Application Service Providers (ASPs).
What is an ASP and how is it possible to reduce expenses and increase
revenue opportunities employing ASP Hosting Vendors? Or, what
are the opportunities to become a genuine security ASP and host
application services for your dealers and end users? Cliff Dice
addresses these and other exciting revenue opportunities in this
session.
Revenue
Opportunities in Location Based Services: Part
I ; Part II,
Part
III, Part
IV, Part
V, Part
V
Jim Stevens, Vice President, Mobile Monitoring Products, C3
Location Systems, Inc.
Exciting new developments are taking place in linking central
station monitoring with mobile systems that provide precise location
information along with alarms and other telemetry. Who is successfully
doing this now and where are the best revenue opportunities today
and in the future? Currently available and developing central
station opportunities using location-based services will be revealed
in this presentation.
