Over the years, there have been many attempts to standardize central station response to all types of disasters. However, what we have learned is that different types of disasters require different types of responses depending on a wide-ranging number of individual central station factors, including geographic region, size and relative sophistication of the central station, hardware and software utilized, local and national services and more. Particularly susceptible are the smaller central stations.
In today's climate, the AHJ's are looking to shift more and more of their traditional responsibilities to the private sector.
What will you be asked to do in the event of a disaster?
What can you do to help?
What are the practices and policies of other central stations in your region?
What are the best practices and/ or plans and policies of other similar sized central stations? What are your liabilities?
Do you have a Disaster Management Plan that works?
Do you have a plan that has been practiced?
What are your financial back-up plans?
These and many more questions will be answered in a very concentrated two day program. There will also be a tour of the Dice Corporation facility just a few miles away.
Due to the import of this topic in our industry we have secured a very low hotel rate ($69.00 per night) and kept the cost of the program as low as possible. Please plan to participate in developing a truly comprehensive Disaster Management Plan and you may avoid the worst of a disaster physically and financially.
