Contact the Westin St. John at 340-693-8000. Rates are $140 for a single or double. Remember to mention the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) when you call. Club Coqui offers a wide variety of activities for kids 3-12. The clubs wonderful facilities include an outdoor playground, a movie room with a large selection of movies, a wide variety of games, and many arts and crafts projects, as well as a wide variety of activities which rotate daily. The club offers four different sessions and rate plans, including Half Day, Half Day with Lunch, Full Day and Evening Camp. 24 hour advance registration is required and children must be potty trained to participate. In-room baby sitting services are available with 24 hour advance notice. There are many wonderful restaurants on St. John, most on an intimate scale. If you want to dine in some of the more upscale restaurants you may wish to make reservations in advance of your arrival, especially if you are planning to take a group or are planning to go on one of our free nights – Sunday, October 24th or Tuesday, October 26th.
If you are looking for more casual dining try Beaches at the Westin or check with the hotel concierge for a list of restaurants ranging from Caribbean cuisine, to Mexican to Chinese. Reservations are not required at many of the more casual restaurants. The Westin Spa offers a full range of treatments from massage to LaStone therapy, to body treatments including Hydro-Active Mineral Salt Scrubs, Enzymatic Sea Mud Wraps, After Sun Aloe Wraps and Sunless Bronzing as well as a full line of nail and skin care treatments. The fitness center offers cardio and strength training equipment as well as Pilates and Yoga. If you’re a tennis fan you enjoy the six court artificial grass facility, managed by Peter Burwash International. The Westin St. John was ranked on Tennisresortsonline.com as one of the top 5 Caribbean tennis destinations in 2003. The Mahogany Run Golf Course is located on the nearby island of St. Thomas. After deboarding the plane and entering the gates of the Cyril E. King Airport in St. Thomas, USVI, CSAA Annual Meeting attendees should proceed to baggage claim. Once you have all of your bags, proceed to the Westin St. John Lounge, located just beyond the baggage claim area. Westin St. John staff will be awaiting your arrival at the Lounge, where you will be checked in prior to boarding hotel taxi service to the Westin ferry. The following roundtrip charges will be applied to your hotel bill: Adults: $70 roundtrip; Children (4-12): $50 roundtrip; Kids (0-3): Complimentary. The price includes gratuities for taxi and ferry and, unlimited return trips to St. Thomas for shopping, including shuttle service to Main Street. Check with the hotel for ferry schedule. The Westin staff will be giving you your registration card, luggage tags for your bags and information on your transfer to the Westin on St. John. Please fill out any necessary information and tag your luggage and set it in the luggage holding area in front of the lounge. You will then be driven 10 minutes away to the Crown Bay Marina, to await boarding of the Westin high-speed ferry service to St. John. The ferry runs approximately every 2 hours from the Crown Bay Marina beginning at 11:00AM and ending at 5:45PM. Arrivals after the 5:45PM ferry will be driven 30 minutes to the National Park Dock on the East End of St. Thomas, where a 15 minute Water Taxi ride will bring you to the Westin on St. John. If you need to wait for the ferry you can visit the shops, restaurants and gourmet deli lining the Crown Bay Marina. Be sure to rendezvous at the location noted on the map provided to you at the Westin lounge prior to the ferry’s departure time. The ferry ride will be approximately 35 minutes and will take you directly to the resort dock. Westin St. John staff will have your keys ready and will escort you directly to your room or villa. Your luggage will be delivered to your room shortly after your arrival. Please remember that check-in time is 3:00 PM Please note: The ferry has outdoor covered and uncovered seating, as well as an airconditioned indoor lounge. If you do not want to risk the possibility that you may be hit with an errant spray of ocean water, please sit inside. You may not get up and move around once the ferry has left the dock. -----Optional Public Transportation----- You may choose to take a public taxi to Red Hook marina on the East end of St. Thomas (approx. 30 minutes). The public ferry to St. John leaves every hour on the hour, beginning at 6AM, the last ferry being 12AM. Once on St. John you may obtain a public taxi to the Westin Resort. or A private water taxi may be arranged from either the Charlotte Amalie or the Red Hook Dock by calling 340-775-6501. You will need to secure a public taxi to take you from the airport to the dock, but the water taxi will take you directly to the Westin St. John resort dock for check in at the resort’s Marina Front Desk. Even though the Virgin Islands are a U.S. Territory, you still will be required to clear U.S. Customs upon your departure, and you will need to bring your passport or official (must have a seal) birth certificate. If you intend to take a day sail to any of the British Virgin Islands you will need to clear customs on St. John upon your return.
