Updated 04/10/01 CSAA Offers Update to Award-Winning FAAP Software The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) is pleased to announced the release of an update to its award-winning False Alarm Analysis Program software. The new release, downloadable from a link in the FAAP Web section at CSAA's Web site, www.csaaintl.org, has added additional capabilities to this popular software, which is free to law enforcement organizations and others who are in charge of the administration of false alarms. The new version:
The revision is to be installed on top of the existing installed FAAP software. It will not overwrite any of the data files. In addition, the CSAA Web site has a new version of the FAAP manual with copies of the computer screens screen pictures in the Word version of the Help Manual which were missing in Version 2.2.0. FAAP was developed by the Central Station Alarm Association and its members, in cooperation with the law enforcement community. It is designed to assist in developing and measuring standardized criteria for the performance of alarm users and alarm companies in attaining false alarm immunity and to assist law enforcement in the billing and collection of false alarm fines and alarm permits, thereby significantly reducing the administrative burden of law enforcement in administrating a municipal ordinance. |
