Welcome to the Operations Management Page. This section is for you if your work revolves around central stations.

In this section, we will be exploring issues that have been raised at the Central Stations Management Seminars and through the Listserver ACCENT.

On behalf of CSAA, I would like to thank you for visiting our operations management site.

The CSAA Operations Management Seminar program began in 1995. Designed to provide training to central station operations personnel, these seminars take place at a host member central station with an accompanying tour of the host facility.

In 1997, the CSAA Board opened attendance to include non-member companies interested in central station operations.

Seminar Dates:

October 3-5, 2004: CSAA Operations Management Seminar, San Antonio, texas. Hosted by United Central Control. Click here for more information

In April of 1999, CSAA and SIA partnered in the creation of the Listserver ACCENT. Opened initially to graduates of the SIA “Train-the-Trainer”course and CSAA Management seminar participants, the Listserver is now open to central station operations personnel, member or non-members.

Click here for more information about ACCENT.

The issues that have been raised from the Management Seminars and Listserver will be explored in more detail on this section-as time goes by, we will be refining and adjusting the page based on your comments and requests.

Please address your comments, offers to be a guest writer and topics you would like to see covered to Celia Besore at communications@csaaul.org

The Operations Management Seminar Series was initiated in 1995 by the then-President of CSAA, Dave Carter, with great success.

The first seminar was at Rollins in Atlanta. Additional seminars have been held at C.O.P.S. Monitoring, Brink’s Home Security, Safeguard Security Services, Security Associates International, and Wayne Alarm.

Craig Leiser of Kismet Group Ltd. is the Chair of these seminars, along with At the Brink’s Management seminar, attendees discussed ways of keeping the dialogue going after the seminars were over. As a result, Tina Richardson Jones, a former CSAA employee and Leiser approached Jay Hanger at the Security Industry Association to see if SIA was interested in sharing a listserve.

Jay already had plans for a listserve for the attendees at the SIA “Train-the Trainer” program so CSAA teamed up and today have a very successful listserver with more than 300 participants.

These questions, comments and responses are the words of the writers and do not represent any more than a dialogue among peers. We are not providing all comments and responses in this report, only a sample of the issues. In future reports we will cover the topics in more detail.
