Y2K with CSAA/SIA ACCENT Information is power-here is the key to unlock the mysteries of Y2K! ACCENT, a joint CSAA/SIA listserver, will be used to network around the world this New Year's Eve. The goal will be to identify Y2K problems that arise in areas where it first turns to January 1st and to transmit information about those problems, if any, via the listserver. Several members of ACCENT have volunteered to post messages to the listserver as they receive data from associates overseas. For example, Clifford V. Dice, President of Dice Corporation, has volunteered to send information about the situation in New Zealand, Australia, and The Philippines, where his company has customers. He expects to start sending information midmorning on the 31st when the time will be changing in Australia. Other companies with facilities on the East Coast and around the U.S. and the world will also post information. If your Central Station manager is not a member of ACCENT, download the ACCENT registration form from http://www.csaaul.org/ACCENTForm.htm and fax it to Jay Hanger at 703-683-2469 before Friday, December 17, 1999.
