Get the scoop on UL & NFPA at the CSAA Annual Meeting

On Monday, October 28, Loring Knoblauch, President of  Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and Jim Shannon, President and CEO of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) will give Annual Meeting attendees a brief update on current UL & NFPA activities that will have a dramatic impact on the codes and standards industry of the future.

"Crossfire" with the AHJs

CSAA enjoys a close relationship with the main organizations representing Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) over our industry. The presence of the top officers of these organizations at the CSAA Annual Meeting is the direct result and, in part, the cause of our close working relationship. The meeting is the ONLY venue in the US where all the top officers are able to meet in a casual environment and share with the security industry and among themselves common problems and opportunities.

Join us on Tuesday, October 29, 2002 at 8:45am - 9:45am for a panel presentation where attendees will be able to discuss timely topics that affect us all in an open forum where "they" can't arrest us, flunk our inspections or make life tough for us!

Panelists will include:

  • Moderator: Bill Moody, AIREF False Alarm Committee

  • Joseph Samuels, President, International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP)

  • Randy Bruegman, International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC)

  • Tommy Ferrell, National Sheriffs' Association (NSA)

  • Thera Bradshaw, Association of Public Communications Officials (APCO)

Why else should you attend the 2002 CSAA Annual Meeting?

A CSAA meeting stands out from the rest because of its quality education, as well as its fun social events. This year, in addition to the CSAA traditional social events, we are offering SPECIAL TOURS for those who want to combine professional education with sightseeing.
