Tyco To Separate Into Four Independent, Publicly-Traded Companies

Tyco International Ltd. announced yesterday a plan to separate Tyco into four independent, publicly-traded companies: Security and Electronics; Healthcare; Fire Protection and Flow Control; and Financial Services.

Under the plan, unanimously approved by the company's Board of Directors, these businesses will be taken public through initial public offerings ("IPOs") and then distributed to Tyco shareholders.

Tyco's security & electronics businesses will be combined as an independent, publicly-traded company. Dennis Kozlowski will be Chairman and CEO, and Mark Swartz will be CFO, of the Security & Electronics company.

Tyco Plastics, one of the United States' largest manufacturers of plastic film and other plastic products, will be sold. Tyco expects to eliminate at least $11 billion of debt from the sale of this unit and the IPO.

Each company will remain based in Bermuda.

Exhibit at NAMTSE

This Friday, January 25, 2002, CSAA will start assigning exhibit space for NAMTSE 2002 to those companies that exhibited last year and have already submitted their booth space reservation forms for this year. Starting Monday, January 28, space will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

From the number of phone calls received from both potential exhibitors and attendees, we are expecting that this NAMTSE will be even more successful than the one last year.

Send in your form NOW to ensure that you will get your preferred space.
