UL Seminar I-UL Listing Seminar:

The Easy Way to Obtain & Maintain Your UL Listing

Friday, April 16, 2004, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Peabody Hotel, Memphis, Tennessee

In conjunction with NAMTSE 2004. For registration forms, etc., visit www.namtse.com

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) have teamed up to develop a simplified and demystifying seminar to help central stations and/or installing companies obtain or maintain their UL Listing.

Increasingly, law enforcement and fire-related organizations are requiring that an independent third-party organization, such as Underwriters Laboratories, certify that the central station and/or installing company meet all appropriate codes and standards for installation and monitoring. This certification will also help you to develop an additional competitive advantage in your market and open doors that might otherwise be closed to non-UL Listed companies.

This one-day, hands-on seminar will answer your questions, provide networking opportunities with companies similar to yours and will partner you with a UL faculty member who will mentor and assist you through the listing process.

The seminar will include:

  • UL Program Overview: How Standards Affect Our Daily Lives

  • Central Station Listings

  • Facility Requirements (UL 827)

  • Automation Fire Alarm Services

  • Burglar Alarm Services

  • Fire Alarm Certification Video

  • Fire Alarm Installations

  • Burglar Alarm Installations

  • Getting Listed

  • Operating a Central Station

  • Open Session for Q & A and Review

Pete Tallman, Section Manager, Underwriters Laboratories

  • Pete has been with UL for 30 years and holds NICET III certification. He has been presenting seminars for UL for 24 years.
