This
name change reflects the growth and transformation of the meeting,
which now encompasses a three-day educational program, tailored
not only for monitoring company operations, but for their installation
operations as well.
According
to CSAA’s Executive Vice President Steve Doyle,
“Each year, NAMTSE has grown and evolved to the point where
the meeting has something for everyone who is interested in
improving their business, regardless of their respective size.
Accordingly, we no longer distinguish between member or non-member
companies, as the educational opportunities, the exposition
and other events are open to all.
“We have found that there is a great need for central station
and installing company education, as well as for networking
at a relatively modest-priced venue. With our change to Montreal
this year, the opportunity arose to change the designated name
to reflect the continuing growth and diversification of the
best educational venue in the industry” added Doyle.
NASS-EX 2005 has already received the support and endorsement
of six state burglar and fire alarm associations.
The
Preliminary Timeline and Schedule of Events will be out in the
early fall of 2004. NASS-EX 2005 has secured very favorable
rates in Montreal, a great city destination that has something
for everyone at a very favorable exchange rate—entertainment,
a decidedly European culture, history, nightlife, shopping and
dining.
Since NASS-EX is not owned by a for-profit company, its revenues
are invested in projects for the general benefit of the industry.
