FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

September 24, 2004, Vienna , VA – The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA), The National Burglar and Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) and the Security Industry Association (SIA) join to announce that Ralph Wayne Sevinor will be honored at the inaugural Tri-Association Awards and Charity Dinner with the first Triton Award for industry statesmanship. This award was conceived by the three host associations to be symbolic of their solidarity and as a way to recognize an individual who has worked to promote ecumenical initiatives and foster close working relationships for the betterment of the industry. Sevinor was selected for his tireless efforts in building bridges between the three organizations.

During his tenure in the security industry, Sevinor willingly embraced tasks with uncommon grace and humility as an active member of all three organizations; both as a president and past president of the CSAA; as an active pan-industry committee participant and chairperson; and as an archivist and curator of this industry’s history and memorabilia. As an industry statesman, citizen and inaugural Triton Award

recipient, he sets the bar at a high level and exemplifies those qualities and characteristics the award was designed to recognize.A portion of each ticket to this event, which will be held in conjunction with ISC EXPO East on Thursday, November 4, 2004 at Twenty-Four Fifth in New York City, will be donated to the National Crime Prevention Council’s (NCPC) Be Safe and Sound Program.

NCPC’s core mission is to enable people to create safer and more caring communities by addressing the causes of crime and violence and reducing the opportunities for crime to occur. Be Safe and Sound is a public education and awareness campaign that seeks to raise awareness of school safety and security issues and provide concrete measures that parents, community members, and educators can take to make schools safer and more secure.
