Two CSAA's members recently received Awards in recognition to their contributions to the industry.
The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) is pleased to announce that former CSAA President John Mabry received the 2004 Stanley C. Lott Award on Wednesday, October 27 during the Annual Meeting's President's Dinner Dance; he was also recognized on November 4, at the Inaugural Tri-Association Awards & Charity Dinner, in New York.
The Lott Award recognizes those individuals whose contributions to CSAA and the industry are exceptional. Some of John's many contributions included serving for more than 20 years on the Board of Directors of both CSAA and NBFAA, as well as serving as President of both associations.

As President of CSAA, Mabry severed the relation of the Association from the management company; opened the first office for CSAA in Washington; and hired the first Executive Director for the Association. As President of NBFAA, he founded the National Training School (NTS); the Chapter Program and the ISC Show revenue-sharing program between NBFAA and SIA. When John came into the Presidency of NBFAA, he paid the payroll from his own pocket until the Association's cash flow improved. He received the NBFAA's 1983 Morris F. Weinstock Person of the Year Award.
John Mabry is a member of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), the American Society of Industrial Security (ASIS), and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM). He serves on the Board of Directors of ADS Security, Protectron, Inc., and Integrated Alarm Services, Inc. In addition, he was chosen by President Lyndon B. Johnson to serve on the Council for Crime Against Small Business.
Past recipients of the Stanley Lott Award include Robert Bitton (1991), Patricia and Thomas F. Smith (1993), Robert A. Bonifas (1995), Steve Roth (1996), Robert L. Ohm (1997), Tom Lewin (1998), Isaac Papier (1999), Stanley Martin (2001), William (Bill) Moody (2002), and Ralph W. Sevinor (2003).
CSAA is also delighted to congratulate Ralph W. Sevinor for being the first recipient of the Triton Award. He received the award at the Tri-Association Awards and Charity Dinner on November 4, 2004.
