Table of Contents Input on Withdrawal of Qwest Dataphone Select-a-Station Service Needed Vienna, Va., February 9, 2004--The Alarm Industry Communications Committee (AICC) counsel, Blooston, Mordkofsky, Dickens, Duffy & Prendergast, is looking for input from the central station alarm industry on the usage of Qwest's Dataphone Select-a-Station Service. Qwest Corporation has filed, on behalf of its wireline telephone company affiliates, a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Petition seeking approval to withdraw Dataphone Select-a-Station Service offerings in the fourteen-state region served by Qwest's telephone company affiliates. These companies were formerly known as US West. Qwest states that there is no longer any demand for these services. Comments to the FCC on the Qwest petition are due by February 17, 2004. Blooston believes that these services may have been utilized by certain central station operators in the past. Blooston needs to know as soon as possible if the withdrawal of these services would adversely affect the alarm industry in the Qwest region. They also need to know the circumstances of the adverse effects. Please fax the form enclosed below BY THIS FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 13 to Ben Dickens at 202-828-5568 or call Mary Sisak at 202-828-5554.
