Industry Attrition Study Being Updated for 2004
By John Brady, TRG Associates

The Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and TRG Associates are seeking individual security company attrition results for the calendar year 2004. Over 50 companies from the US and Canada have participated in the Mid-Year 2004 study —its report is available on the CSAA website, www.csaaintl.org, or directly from TRG Associates. John Brady of TRG wants to continue to grow the size and breadth of the data collected on behalf of the industry.

The project continues to add individual companies—both large corporate and small family-owned companies—to the collected, confidential information that is used to reflect current attrition statistics and cancellation reasons experienced in the industry. The study is produced by TRG Associates in conjunction with CSAA at no cost to the participants or the industry and the individual results are maintained in the strictest confidence.

This study, which began in 2001, has continued to grow in participation and seeks to disseminate a composite of the attrition results by company size, geography and type of customer base to the industry participants.

If you would like to participate in the 2004 study, please contact Celia Besore, CSAA’s Director of Marketing & Communications, at communications@csaaintl.org to request the attrition spreadsheet. Once completed, send it to jbrady@trgassociates.com by March 31, 2005.

The 2004 study will be compiled in April 2005 and the results will be presented at the North American Security Symposium and Exposition (NASS EX) in Montreal this May ( visit www.nassex.com) for more information). The results will also be forwarded back to each participating company for comparison to their own results versus companies of like size and geography.

If you have any questions about this project, please contact John Brady at 1-860-664-4104 or Celia Besore at 703-242-4670, Ext. 16 or communications@csaaintl.org.

For NASS EX
2005

Last fall, CSAA sold tickets to attend as a group the Friday, May 13th Cirque du Soleil show while attending the NASS EX 2005 meeting in Montreal. This new production, which will debut in Montreal on April 21, explores the world of dreams, a dimension somewhere between Heaven and Earth.

There has been a new demand for tickets now that our four-color brochure on NASS EX has reached our membership.

After considerable negotiations, CSAA has been able to secure an additional block of tickets. This block is limited and on hold only until February 12th. After that date, we will not be able to offer any additional seating for this incredible production.

If you would like to attend, please complete the reservation form (click here) and return it to John S. McDonald, CSAA’s Director of Meetings and Conventions by Tuesday, February 8 th.

This will be your final opportunity to purchase tickets to the latest production by this critically acclaimed group.
