CSAA Forum: Your Partner for Success

Orlando, Florida and the CSAA Education Committee worked their charms again and the 2007 CSAA Electronic Security Forum & Exposition attracted a record number of attendees.

"I’ve never been part of an association that seems to work this hard to make sure new members feel welcome," said new CSAA Member Dave Hood, General Manager of First Alarm. "The power of networking through CSAA membership is obvious – and the board of directors, as well as the staff, are very deliberate about making sure that interaction between members is a priority. I never felt my time was wasted – and the class sessions were all relevant. This wasn’t pie-in-the-sky stuff – it was practical, real-world stuff," added Hood.

CSAA meeting veterans felt the same way. "Even when the topic may have been covered in other seminars, I always find something new that I can take back and improve our operations," commented Mary Smith, Monitoring Division Manager for Bay Alarm. "The meeting always provides me with great ideas and the interaction between the attendees can't be matched. The Technical Product Presentations were great also."

CSAA would like to thank the Education Committee members for their great job with the Forum. Special thanks to John Lombardi, Chairman of the Education Committee, Business Development Track leader and President, Commercial Instruments and Alarm Systems, Inc., for his dedication to continue raising the bar on quality industry education. Many thanks also to Pam Petrow, Executive Vice President, Vector Security, and Dave Combes, Commercial Development Manager, Honeywell Security, track leaders of the Operations Management Track and the Technical Track respectively, for the many hours spent in developing their Tracks. Without these volunteer members, the CSAA Forum would have not been "Your Partner for Success."
