Please Participate in the First CSAA Technology Survey

One of the 2007 Annual Meeting seminars on Wednesday, October 24 will discuss "Central Stations of the Future." CSAA and the members of the panel--Hank Goldberg (Secure Global Solutions), Jerry Winslow (Bold Technologies), Mike Simpson (DICE Corporation), Ralph Ronquillo (Software Solutions (MASterMind)), Andreas Jensen (Innovative Business Software, Inc.) and Wayne Torrens (Micro Key Software)--are ready to launch the first survey of technology used in central stations and the results will form a foundation for discussion at the CSAA meeting in Hawaii.

This first annual technology survey is open to both member and non-member organizations. The survey has no tracking of individual respondents - all answers are ANONYMOUS. The time required is 15 minutes and completion is required by September 28. Estimates are acceptable and dollar estimates should be in $10,000 increments.

The link to the survey is http://csaa.survey.sgizmo.com.

Each company will likely receive multiple survey requests - PLEASE, ONLY ONE RESPONSE!

We will publish a summary of the results of the survey in November.

Developments in Remote Monitoring

Greg McConnell, Associate Editor of Security Dealer magazine, is writing an article about developments in remote monitoring—what’s new and what security dealers should know—to be published in October. Specifically, he would like to address the questions below. His deadline is Thursday, September 13.

1) What are some of the most common remote monitoring technologies employed by central stations today?

2) What do you see as being some new developments in remote monitoring that have either had a big impact or will soon have a big impact?

3) What would you say to a security dealer who currently doesn't really do much with remote monitoring? Anything to change their mind?

4) Do you have any high-resolution photos that could complement the story, such as a product or “action” shot regarding remote monitoring?

5) Is there anything else you would like to briefly comment on for this story?

If you are interested in being interviewed, please contact Greg directly at 847-454-2705 or Greg.McConnell@cygnusb2b.com.
