NBFAA & CSAA Create Alarm Industry Expo, LLC
Leading associations sign final agreement to produce premier training event with EH Events

Signing on of AEI

(l.-r.): Ralph Sevinor, NBFAA President George Gunning, CSAA President Bud Wulforst, Michael A. Miller.

In a join press release, the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA) and the National Burglar & Fire Alarm Association (NBFAA) announced today the formal signing of an agreement which has created a new joint venture named Alarm Industry Expo, LLC.  The new organization’s first undertaking is the ownership and production of the Electronic Security Expo (ESX) in conjunction with EH Events.

ESX will debut in the Nashville Convention Center, with seminars running June 25-27, 2008 and exhibits June 26-27. More than 150 exhibitors and 3,500 attendees from across the country are projected at the inaugural event.

“This collaboration has been in the works for some time, and we are very pleased to announce this next step in our journey toward a dedicated forum that will provide CSAA and NBFAA members with ideas, products and services to expand their businesses and increase profitability,” said CSAA President Bud Wulforst, president of A-1 Security, Ltd. “ESX will offer educational programming, special events and an exposition of the highest value for installation and monitoring companies.”

NBFAA President George Gunning, CEO of USA Alarm Systems of Monrovia, CA, added, “Excitement is building toward ESX.  We have CSAA and NBFAA volunteers actively working with EH to create this industry-owned event.  The dedicated focus on installing and monitoring companies is one of the reasons for the overwhelmingly positive response to the ESX launch. Our 2,600 member companies are energized about an event that will help them move forward faster in the integrated systems realm.”

As owners and sponsors of ESX, CSAA and NBFAA are involved in the development and delivery of the ESX keynotes, general sessions, and educational programming. The associations are also working with EH to produce special seminars and a program aimed at recognizing installation and monitoring company best practices. ESX will also offer attendees opportunities to network and relax during first-class social and entertainment events.

Rep. Stearns Now Ranking Member of Critical Commerce Subcommittee

Rep. Cliff Stearns (R-Fla.) has now become the ranking member on the Telecommunications and Internet Subcommittee of the U. S. House of Representatives' Commerce Committee.

As most of you will remember, Stearns has been a strong supporter of the alarm industry. This can be very helpful in pursuing our legislative agenda.

The resignation of Rep. Dennis Hastert (R-Ill.) triggered a new lineup of subcommittee ranking members, including Stearns' new appointment. Other changes included the appointment of Rep. Edward Whitfield (R-Ky.) to the Commerce, Trade and Consumer Protection Subcommittee formerly occupied by Stearns.

Please Welcome our 2007 New Members
